We have launched the exclusive business listing app for Macclesfield to promote charities, heritage sites and local businesses to local residents and visitors to Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. We are collaborating with local charities and the community to help promote their projects through the app, events and social media.

Tell Us About Your Role Within The Business?
My role as the Co-Founder is to ensure positive collaboration with local businesses, charities and heritage sites to help promote their products and services to local and visiting consumers. I listen to, and act on feedback received to ensure with give the consumer an easy and smooth experience using the app.

In your opinion, what is the most interesting/high profile/exciting project you or your business has worked on?
Our collaboration and partnerships, particularly with Fabric IT who continue to quietly invest and support local businesses and charities within Macclesfield. I’m also very proud of Macclesfield Town App’s commitment to raising money for East Cheshire Hospice and being part of their 500 club, we have some great fund-raising events planned for 2020. We are also working in partnership with Canalside Radio 102.8fm who quietly do an amazing job for the community.

Our European expansion has also been really exciting. We have completed projects in over 28 countries, from Iceland to Turkey.

How long has the business been operating and how long have you been based in Macclesfield?
We launched the Macclesfield Town App in Nov 19, both Steve and I have other established businesses within Macclesfield and have been based in and around Macclesfield for over 12 years.

What made you choose Macclesfield as a place to base your business?
Macclesfield is a sleeping giant which is about to wake up in this new decade! With the BID making progress, the council starting to invest in the town centre, Macclesfield has so much potential to offer businesses and residents alike. We have always passionately wanted to support Macclesfield’s growth as a town. We knew the Macclesfield Town App would help businesses and local and visiting consumers.

What’s the best thing about working in Macclesfield?
The people of Macclesfield! We strongly feel that Macclesfield has an amazing community both businesses and residents. We have seen first-hand how amazing and passionate the business community and residents are about Macclesfield. The residents supporting and promoting the app and the business communities through Macclesfield Means Business and our new Macc Town Business Networking Group, all looking to connect, promote and support one another for the good of the town!

Do You Have Any Specific Future Goals For The Business That You Would Like To Share?
To continue to build on the collaboration we already have supporting local charities and the Macclesfield Community. We would also like to engage further with the Town Council to help support their projects for the community. There are a few other exciting projects we have for Macclesfield in the pipeline but I’m unable to share these at the moment!
